Meet The Coaches
The people behind the culture confidence, character, and speed.
Coach Marrissa Cammisa
Head Coach • Founder
At Sun City Sprinters, I coach because I truly love track and field and believe in doing things the right way. I started this program to give athletes a safe and positive place to learn, build confidence, and grow strong habits especially in a time when many schools are stretched thin and teachers are balancing many responsibilities beyond athletics.
There is no shortage of information in sports today, but there is often a lack of structure and time to fully apply that information on the field and connect it to athlete health and long term development. My goal is to help bridge that gap by providing intentional, educated coaching that supports athletes in learning how to train correctly from the very beginning.
I focus on teaching strong basics, setting clear expectations, and training in ways that fit each athlete’s age and ability. I also ran track myself, so I understand what it feels like to train, compete, and work toward goals, and I bring that experience into every practice.
Sun City Sprinters is a nonprofit team that serves our community and helps give kids access to quality coaching in a positive environment. Our goal is to help athletes grow, build character, and love the sport not just win races.
I am a USATF Level 1 and NFHS Certified Track and Field Coach. These certifications help guide how I keep athletes safe, teach proper technique, and plan smart training.
Most importantly, I care deeply about every athlete on this team. I take coaching seriously and want every athlete to leave practice feeling proud, confident, and supported, both on the track and in life.
